From left, the Rev. Robert Richardson of the Friends of Rock Harbor presents a check
to Harbormaster Dawson Farber. The $800 went toward replacing the navigation light
at the entrance to Rock Harbor. Also pictured are Dave Hubbard and Maggie Farber.

Thanks to the Friends of Rock Harbor and Nauset Marine the town has a new navigational light
on the jetty at Rock Harbor. Harbormaster Dawson Farber said the Rev. Robert Richardson
of the Friends gave the town an $800 check this summer to replace the light and metal base,
which were decades old and deteriorating. David Deschamps of Nauset Marine, constructed
and installed the new pole for the light. Farber said the town was "greatly" appreciative to
the individuals, their organizations and companies for this generous donation as the navigation
light at the entrance to the harbor assists mariners in a safe return to shore.
