Walking Bells Neck , Harwich
With temperatures in the low 30s and not much sun, Pat Sarantis kept the chill at bay with
her brisk pace as she led a hike last week through the Harwich Conservation Trust's Bells Neck
Area. The one and a half hour walk provided plenty of variety. Pat took the group of 20 up and
down hills through woods, along marshes, next to the herring run, over a footbridge and around cranberry bogs. The paths varied from sandy soil to soft matted leaves and pine needles making
the walking quite comfortable.
